The lady said she only learnt about the wedding, reportedly scheduled for September 10, after a friend sent her a Facebook post about it, rather than through a phone call or family meeting.
She recalled how, as a teenager, her father was her role model and the standard she hoped to find in a future husband.
However, she said the situation has left her deeply hurt, especially because her mother was not informed about the planned marriage either.
According to her, her mother stood by the family through difficult times and “held us together” for years before her father became financially comfortable.
She alleged that after her father became successful, he appeared to no longer consider her mother “enough.”
The lady said the situation had changed how she viewed her father, noting that while the man who raised her remained “impeccably great” in her memory, she no longer recognised the person he had become.
“If you ever heard me say I wanted somebody like my dad, please delete it from your memory,” she said.
She concluded by saying she would simply mind her business and wished her father well ahead of his reported wedding on September 10.
